The Zimbabwe Infrastructure Investment Conference

The Zimbabwe Infrastructure Investment Conference will bring together all stakeholders to explore strategies to look at the short, medium and long term opportunities and challenges which are in Zimbabwe’s infrastructure climate. The focus for this conference will be confined to four critical infrastructure areas namely: Water and Sanitation, Transportation, Energy and Information Communications and Technologies (ICTs). These areas are seen as key to the prosperity of the country as well as being key enablers for mobilising the much needed foreign investments

The two day conference will be a mix of keynote speakers and networking opportunities that will make this the key event for Zimbabwe government officials, engineers, investors, policy makers, consultants, contractors, economists , researchers , academics, customers and many more. There are benefits to attendees beyond the insight provided in the conference sessions themselves. The conference is structured to allow maximum interaction between delegates throughout the days. In addition to the conference plenary sessions, there will be scope for networking and business development throughout the many refreshment breaks

The objectives of the conference are to:

  • Review the current status of the Zimbabwe's Infrastructure;
  • Develop strategies to address the challenges facing the infrastructure in Zimbabwe within the short, medium and long term;
  • Showcase the role of Zimbabwe engineers working abroad in the rehabilitation and future planning of infrastructure in Zimbabwe;
  • Provide a platform to key Zimbabwe Government Officials, UK Government Officials,Multilateral Institutions, Donors, Private Investors, NGOs, SADC Officials, Zimbabwean Professionals and others to share their views on this subject;
  • Provide a platform to listen to the needs of Investors and Financial Institutions;
  • To provoke a debate on the role of policy makers in facilitating Infrastructure development;
  • Provide a platform for a wider range of other stakeholders to share their views on this subject;
  • Facilitate networking - an excellent opportunity to meet those at the vanguard of these issues;
  • Set a clear plan of action and review mechanisms going forward.
