Mission

Our mission is to promote the status of Zimbabwean Engineers in the UK, to develop, expand and maintain the reputation, interests, effectiveness and public perception of the role, duties and achievements of Engineers. To support the activities of ZIE in Zimbabwe. Read More

Focus

We provide a focal point on matters of professional importance to engineers in the Branch and approve and co-ordinate the activities of the various constituent Regions, Special Interest Groups and/or Sections. We are for the open interchange of information and promote the highest professional and ethical standards. Read More

Networking

Fantastic networking opportunities as we hold regular meetings, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, research and other events and activities and present papers, lectures and facilitate discussion on engineering and technology subjects. We visit areas of engineering interests in conformity with the practices of the Institution. Read More

ZIE UK Membership Benefits

Benefits of being a member of ZIE UK are:

Registration as professional engineer by the Zimbabwe Engineering Council (ZEC) and Issuance of a practising certificate.
Membership certification from ZIE.
Networking with multi-disciplinary engineering professionals and participation in the running of the branch.
Being actively involved in branch activities also helps you gain leadership experience and builds management-level skills. This can be everything from public speaking, technical paper presentation, to strategic planning, to event planning -- skills you might not learn on the job or through training provided by employers.
